What is Chlorine Bromide solutions?
Chlorine Bromide solutions is a stabalized solution of chlorine and bromine used in recirculating cooling water systems to control microbial growth. The product is effective over a wide pH range against the microorganisms typically found in these systems.

What are the advantages of this chemical?
There are a few reasons to use this product instead of just sodium hypochlorite. It has a better kill in higher pH waters and it is more stable over time. Sodium Hypochlorite breaks down fast and quickly over a short period of time.
  • Feedrate: Free residual of 50 to 100 ppm surplus.
  • Control: 0.5 to 1.0 ppm bromine (total DPD chlorine x 2.25)
  • Single drum alternative to bromine/chlorine feed
  • Excellent broad spectrum microbiocide
  • More effective than chlorine at elevated pH
  • Quick kill microbiocide.
  • Rapidly degrades in aqueous environment.
  • USDA approved (G-5, G-7)
What is the concentration of this product?
Total Available bromine = approximately 14%(Expressed as chlorine = approximately 6.4%)

How should this product be feed?
For cooling water applications, feed the chemical directly into the main header of the water with a kynar corporation valve or into a side stream loop with an kynar injection quill. All Tanks, pumps, piping and valves should be made of polyethylene, or PVC that come in direct contact with this product. Do not use stainless steel.

How should this product be stored?
Keep in a tightly closed container. Store indoors. Recommended storage temperature is 50 F - 105 F. Do not reuse container. Dispose of empty container in compliance with federal, state/provincial and local laws and regulations. Refer to label for specific instructions.Keep out of the sunlight to reduce degassing of the product.
