What is an anti corrosion chemical?
An anti corrosion chemical is added to cooling water systems that have extensive metals that require protection against corrosion.
What is an anti scaling chemical?
An anti scaling chemical is added to the water system to increase the solubility limits of calcium and magnesium in the process water.
What is a biocide?
A biocide is a chemical designed to kill bacteria development in cooling water systems. The most common biocides are Isothiazolin, Gluteraldahyde, and Bromax 7.1.
How much chemical do I feed?
Every system is different. First, ask what the chemical feed rate is in parts per million (ppm). Then calculate the amount of chemical required to treat the system. For biocides, dipslides should be used to monitor bacteria development.
What testing need to be performed?
All systems require some form of monitoring. Either with water meters, test kits, colormetric monitoring, etc.
