Default selection dilution is 20% solution. Select the correct %. This is a premixed solution 55 Gallon drum of DowCal TM 200. DowCal TM 200 is propylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid for use in a wide range of applications, including HVAC, ground source heat pumps, and solar panels. Low acute toxicity makes DOWCALTM 200 especially suitable for applications where toxicity is a concern. DowCalTM 200 advantages are:
  • Improved corrosion protection, in particular for aluminum alloys.
  • Suitable for use at a minimum of 20% concentration for high and low temperatures.
  • Hard water stability to enable use with local tap water.
  • Compatible with commonly used elastomers.
  • Long fluid lifetime, lowering maintenance cost.

Product Removal
For easy product removal, consider adding a 55-gallon drum dolly to disperse your glycol from 2" bung faucets into 5-gallon pails, a hand pump, or Drum Pump.

What is Dowcal 200?
Dowcal 200 is an Inhibited Propylene Glycol-based Heat Transfer Fluid. It is 92% Propylene Glycol with an 8% Aluminum friendly Corrosion Inhibitor package.
What is the benefit of using Dowcal 200 vs regular Inhibited Propylene Glycol?
Dowcal 200 is an aluminum friendly Inhibited Propylene Glycol. It's specifically designed for Aluminum systems and offers protection that regular IPG can not provide.
We are currently using Dowcal 200 40% in our system and are seeing some issues with what looks like corrosion on some parts These parts are Nickel plated Aluminum. Dowcal 200 should protect the Aluminum parts, what could be the issue?
Dowcal 200 is a aluminum safe inhibited Propylene Glycol. The Nickel plating on the parts is the issue. The nickel plating causes the inhibitor to deplete much faster which then causes the corrosion. If you use parts without the Nickel plating then you shouldn't see any issues.
