RefractometersWe carry three types of Refractometers. The first is a Brix scale Refractometer. These refractometers are used for sugar related liquids. Examples include honey, juices, soft drinks beverages, and wines. Brix Refractometers are used to assist in monitoring and controling the sugar concentrations of products in food and beverages. Also, the Brix Refractometer is used to check the fruit ripeness on the farm. Salinity Refractometers used to test the brine or salt water concentration. It has a triple scale to provide a direct reading of the concentration of salt in water in parts per 1,000 and specific gravity. Also, it is used for determining the total dissolved solids of aqueous solutions. They are also commonly used for quality control in R&D and clinical laboratories. A Salinity refractometer is used to check and maintain stock solutions and dilutions. Also, they are used in the packaging process of fruits, vegetables, and seafood products.
