How do you feed the biocides? Oxidizers are feed on a continuous basis while non-oxidizers are fed intermediately or on an as-needed basis based on dipslide results.
Can I order Biocides myself? Yes, ChemWorld sells to everyone. No order is too small.
Where do I feed the biocide at? Feed the chemical directly into the main header of the water with a kynar corporation valve or into a side stream loop with a kynar injection quill.
How much cooling water biocide should I use? Use bacteria dipslides results to determine how often you require the non-oxidizer and use a bromine or chlorine residual test for the amount of oxidizer is required to control bacteria.
We are currently trying to get an estimate on the quantity of biocide our company will need for our new cooling tower on site. Can you provide an estimate on the rate of biocide usage?
Each system is different on exactly how much you would need to feed. You would have to operate the system to figure out the exact usage rates.
