Demineralized Water or commonly referred to as
deionized water is commonly used is high pressure boilers that require very tight water conditions. DI water typically comes 6.5 to 7.0, but at ChemWorld we can custom blend any pH range required.
What is the difference between Deionized Water and Demin Water?
There is no difference between demin, demineralized, deionized, and DI water. People use those four terms interchangeably. They all use ion-exchange resin to remove >99% of the dissolved minerals (ions) from the water. Demineralized/deionized water quality is significantly better than water treated with reverse osmosis (RO) and comes very close to the water quality of distilled water.
What is the difference between Demin water and distilled water? Both processes are completely different. Demineralized Water is done through cartridge and ionize exchange units. Distilled Water
is evaporated and condensed.
