OIL-GLO ULTRA Complete Leak Detection Kit

How much leak detection fluid should I use?
Designed for oil and hydraulic systems. In general, this is the feedrate:
  • Light weight hydraulic fluid - 1 oz per 8 gallons (This kit does up to 64 gallons)
  • Very dark or intensely blue hydraulic fluid and lubrication fluids - 1 oz per 4 gallons (This kit does up to 32 gallons)
  • Compressor oil - 1 oz per 4 gallons (This kit does up to 32 gallons)
  • Engine oil - 1 oz per 3 gallons Gearbox oil - 1 oz per gallon (This kit does up to 8 gallons)

This complete SPI-VLOGYG Oil Glo Ultra cordless kit comes with:
  • SPI-VL - Violet light LED, battery-operated leak detection flashlight
  • SPI-OGYG-8 - Patented 8 oz (237 ml) twin-neck bottle of concentrated oil dye (glows yellow-green). Treats up to 64 gallons (242 L) of fluid.
  • RP-UVS-40 - Fluorescence-enhancing glasses
  • RP-GA-2 - GLO-AWAY™ Plus fluorescent dye cleaner
  • 3x AAA Batteries
  • Carrying Case

What type of systems would we use this product in?
SPI-VLOGYG leak detection kit is ideal for pinpointing leaks in hydraulic systems, compressors, engines, gearboxes and fuel systems.

TO OPERATE:
Remove the battery insulator before first use. Press the button once to turn the flashlight on. Press it again to turn the flashlight off. Batteries are included.

FAST, EASY LEAK DETECTION:
  • Add the appropriate fluorescent dye and run the system to circulate. (See instructions included with dyes.)
  • For best results, use in low-light conditions.
  • Scan the system with the flashlight while wearing the fluorescence- enhancing glasses. You'll easily see the precise location of every leak by its bright fluorescent glow.
CLEANUP / REINSPECTION:
After the leaks are repaired, clean the remaining dye from the leak sites with Spectroline GLO-AWAY dye cleaner or a shop solvent. Remaining dye could be mistaken for a leak. Check all areas again with the lamp to make sure no dye remains. Run the system for another 5 to 10 minutes and reinspect with the SPI-VL. No glow means that all leaks have been properly repaired.

TO REPLACE BATTERIES:
Twist the end cap counterclockwise to open. Insert 3 AAA batteries with the positive end toward the lamp head. Replace the end cap.
