Which chloride test kits should I use TK1112-Z, TK1113-Z, and TK1114-Z?
Last Updated: 08/30/2013
Testing for chlorides in boiler and cooling water systems is very common. Chlorides are an easy way to check the cycles of concentration within the water system. The higher the cycles of concentration, the more you reuse the water, and the less water that is consumed by the process. We provide three types of chloride tests.
  • CW-TK1113-Z: 1 drop = 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 ppm Cl
  • CW-TK1114-Z: 1 drop = 2 or 10 ppm Cl
  • CW-TK1112-Z (includes H2O2 for sulfite): 1 drop = 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 ppm Cl

The first two test kits listed above are for cooling water systems, where the chemical sulfite is not being used within the water system. Also, CW-TK1114-Z is a more precise and accurate chloride test compared to CW-TK1113-Z.

CW-TK1112-Z is used within steam boiler systems with the presence of sulfite being used, if you only have a hot water system and nitrite is only being used use CW-TK1113-Z or CW-TK1114-Z.
